The President’s Message      

 

Dear Fellow Kappans:

 

 

Where does the time go?  It does not seem possible that another school year is about to end.  It is just about time for me to pass the “baton” to Joetta Surace who will serve as the next president of our chapter.  Being president of the Southern New Jersey/ Stockton College Chapter has been a wonderful experience for me.  I would like to thank the Executive Committee and the Committee Chairpersons for all of the support and help they provided me throughout the year.  They are an exceptional group who are truly committed to this organization.  As a result of their efforts, we have continued to increase attendance at the meetings, successfully immersed the members in technology by posting the Kappenings online, won an award for our fund raising efforts for the Foundation, increased participation in the annual PDK Walk for Education, conducted a beautiful and very meaningful plaque dedication ceremony at Stockton College and completed another successful membership drive.  WOW!  Thank you one and all!!

 

A special thank you to the Noyes Museum of Art and  Mr. Michael Cagno, Executive Director of the museum for our tour of the museum as well as the  information regarding all of the educational opportunities available at the museum.  Kudos to the catering staff of Egg Harbor Township School District and Joetta for the spectacular array of “goodies” for the evening.  No one went home hungry and everyone came away from the meeting with ideas that they could use with their students regarding the museum.  

 

Please join us on Sunday, June 1^st for our annual Induction/Initiation Brunch at the Mays Landing Country Club as we welcome 14 new members and induct new officers.  We are very lucky to have again as our guest, John Amato, PDK International President.
